Each and every year the Children's Book Council of Australia nominate and vote upon the most outstanding books published in a range of categories for that year. The winners are announced during Book Week - a week set aside to promote and encourage reading across Australia.
A theme is determined by the Children's Book Council of Australia to help promote and celebrate Book Week with this year's theme being 'Find Your Treasure'.
Book Week will take place in 2018 from the 17th until the 24th of August. To help celebrate Book Week, Berkeley Vale Public School will be holding a Book Parade in the Cool Zone, with a date to be announced closer to Book Week.
The Book Parade is aimed at encouraging and engaging students in books and literature in a fun and interesting manner. Keep an eye out to see which teachers will be dressed up this year as well!
