Science and technology is mandatory for all students from Kindergarten to Year 6.
In science and technology, students explore the natural and made worlds. They learn how to apply scientific and technological skills, knowledge and understanding across a broad range of contexts.
Science provides a way of inquiring about the world around us. It explores evidence and investigates ways to discover, develop and produce solutions to real world problems. The inquiry and skill-based nature of science opens doors to ideas and discoveries.

This is Darkinjung land, the land of ancestors where their spirit still walks among us today and have been here since the dream time. Our language and culture has been passed down from generation to generation to continue an unbroken culture, which has existed for over 65,000 years. In the tradition of our people we welcome you. We don't own the land, the land owns us. We come from mother earth, we are of the land and the lands that we are upon today belongs to the Darkinjung people, the Whale people. We would like to acknowledge the Darkinjung people. We would like to acknowledge and pay respect to their elders past and present and to their emerging leaders.
