2020 Year 6 Leadership Opportunities

Our three rules at Berkeley Vale Public School are:

  • Be Safe,
  • Be Respectful and
  • Be a Learner.

These three rules are underpinned by an important quality continuously engendered within our senior students – LEADERSHIP.

At Berkeley Vale Public School, our Year 6 students are encouraged to be leaders and to demonstrate leadership qualities which filter down to the younger students; to set the tone of the school so as the three school rules become just automatic with all of our students.

Also Berkeley Vale Public School encourages our senior students to become leaders themselves, by:

  • Giving our students the opportunities to develop their leadership skills through leadership roles such as class captains, house captains and school captains,

  • Providing opportunities to attend student leadership opportunities to further develop their skills for future leadership.

  • Providing leadership roles and responsibilities within the school community such as organising school assemblies, ANZAC Day Ceremonies, visit neighbouring preschools as well as

  • Being given the opportunity to develop a leadership group through networking with fellow students from other schools.
